Super easy and cheap.......

buy round pretzels and hershey's hugs (this year they have candy cane ones that work really good) and a bag of red %26amp; green M %26amp; M's.

arrange pretzel rings on a baking pan ( I line with tin foil for easy removal), put a hug inside each one and put in preheated oven at 200* for approx. 5 minutes (don't over bake!). Take pan out and tap lightly so hugs settle, then set a m%26amp;m in the center and chill till set. Makes a very cute and tasty treat, pretty for a gift (especially the new candy cane ones as they are red %26amp; white striped!) I love these, the kids love these and any one can make them! Best part is right now you can find the pretzels, hugs %26amp; M%26amp;M's on sale most anywhere and one bag of each (well, will need 2 of the hugs) makes a LOT! Good Luck and have fun!
These are not cookies, but they make a beautiful presentation.

Buy kraft caramels...unwrap them and place toothpick in each one (you can also get the plastic toothpicks for this). Melt chocolate chips (milk, dark, white) and dip the caramels in chocolate...you can then roll them in sprinkles, nuts, cocoa powder, etc.

Also, you can do the same with the soft peppermint sticks.

The website....Allrecipes.com has a cookie countdown...it is a great website and you will find a lot of cookie recipes.
