Cookie Recipes?

So Christmas is coming soon, and I want to make cookies.

Know any good recipes?

Try to keep them simple (I'm no Emeril, lol).

Oh yeah, and other easy desserts are welcome too!

=]

(btw, I love vanilla and chocolate! And all types of nuts are fine, no allergies here.)

Thanks!Cookie Recipes?
FRENCH LACE COOKIES

An easy recipe for a famous cookie. The thin batter is transformed, in baking, into a crisp round with open spaces resembling lace. The rolled-up version is popular in Sweden; cooks there roll the warm cookies around a piece of broom handle. 1 c. nuts, finely chopped 1/2 c. corn syrup 1/2 c. shortening 2/3 c. brown sugar, packed

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Measure flour by sifting. Blend flour and nuts. Bring corn syrup, shortening and sugar to boil in saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; gradually stir in flour and nuts. Drop batter by level teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. (Bake only 8 to 9 cookies at a time.) Bake 5 to 6 minutes; remove from oven and allow to stand 5 minutes before removing from baking sheet. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

Note: Do not use self-rising flour in this recipe.

DIRT CAKE

20 oz. Oreo cookies, crushed

2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

2 c. confectioners sugar

2 lg. chocolate instant pudding

4 c. milk

16 oz. Cool Whip

Mix cream cheese, Cool Whip, and sugar. In another bowl mix pudding and milk. Combine cheese and pudding mixtures. Layer pudding mixture and crushed Oreos (start and end with Oreos) in a flower pot. Chill 3-4 hours. Insert flower in center of Dirt Cake for presentation before serving. (Wrap stem in aluminum wrap.) Use a trowel to serve.Cookie Recipes?
Here's one of my alltime favorites, we call them Happy Christmas Cookies, they're also known as Cuervo Cookies:

Cuervo Cookies

I know it's a little early, but it is time to start baking for the holidays. This is the BEST Christmas Cookie recipe EVER!

Christmas Cookies

1 cup of water

1 tsp baking soda

1 cup of sugar

1 tsp salt

1 cup of brown sugar

Lemon juice

4 large eggs

1 cup nuts

2 cups of dried fruit

1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add one teaspoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup just in case.

First, turn off the mixerer thingy. Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, Pick the frigging fruit off floor. Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just! pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Check the Jose Cuervo.

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find. Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner. Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

I love the recipes at kingarthurflour.com They are simple and easy to follow, with delicious results. Look for the Peanut Butter Chew recipe - it's the most intense pb flavor I ever had in a cookie.

If you like chocolate chip, the recipe on the back of the baking soda box is good :)
*****I am not a fan of fruitcake but this 1 is really good

NO BAKE FRUIT CAKE

1, 1 lb. package of vanilla wafers crushed

1 qt. pecans

้™† lb each, red, green, candied cherries cut up and use the juice

้™† lb golden raisins

1 can sweetened condensed milk (you can add 1 tsp. rum extract to milk before mixing)

Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl,

Add milk, mix well, pack into a lined can and chill,

I used a large Tupperware storage bowl with a custard cup upside down in the middle, this way it turned out looking like a fruit cake.

The longer it sits the better it gets.
