Baking is really easy, don't give up if the first few times is not as good as you want it to be, just keep trying. Remember not to eat too much of it, because the smell and taste of fresh cookies are so tempting, one other thing, don't tell your friends that you want to bake, until you are pleased with it, and maybe then you can surprise them with home baked cookies.
Good luck ; - )

2/3 cup quick cooking oats

1 egg
1/2 cup M %26amp; M's (or chocolate, butterscotch or whatever kind of chips you like)
In a mixing bowl, beat the first 4 ingredients. Stir in the chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
choc. no-bake
(have a piece of wax paper out on your counter top. about 12 inches or a little longer)
2 cups white granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 tablespoon corn syrup ( optional)
1 sick of butter or margerine
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick cooking oatmeal
1/4 cup peanutbutter
1 teaspoon vanilla
mix first 2 ingredients together in a heavy pan, like an alluminum one and at least a 3 quart in size.
then add milk and stir. add the butter next. (i always rub it around on the inside of the pan so that the sugar wont stick to it when it starts to boil.)
cook over a medium flame until it start to boil. you want it to be a rolling boil.this will look like it is boiling from the outer edge towards the center.do not let it boil over if it does your fire is to high
boil for 3 minutes.(not under and not over.)
turn off the fire.
stir in the peanut butter and vanilla
stir in the oatmeal well.
then drop by tablespoon full onto wax paper.
if they seem too runny stir them for a couple of minutes. they will thicken up.they will be a little runny though just because they are so hot.
let them set for about a 1/2 hr.
when you take them off of the wax paper, pull up the edges of the paper due to the fact that the heat melts the wax to the counter. you can use plastic wrap instead of the wax paper if you . have fun:)
becarefull when boiling so that you dont get splattered on
Look up a recipe forSugar cookies, they are very easy to make.
